Mapua Crimson

The Mapua Crimson, Nelson, New Zealand - to complement the 2020 Shangri-La Pinot Noir.
Last of three, is the Mapua Crimson painting. This artwork was painted to complement the Pinot Noir, and will be gracing the Shangri-La 2020 Pinot Noir labels as part of the Blackenbrook art series * Sunny Nelson - New Zealand. Mapua Crimson was painted with warm, wild black cherry red tones to portray the warmth in tone and flavour.

Stanley Point Sailboats
Stanley Point Sailboats

I painted Stanley Point Sailboats, with summer fun in mind, the distant moorings and the expectations of the local kids doing backflips into the sea. This contrasting with the urban city-scape. Stanley Bay is a beautiful area - it's right in the heart of Devonport but almost feels like it's own little retreat.
