We live in awe and respect of the New Zealand mountainous landscape which is certainly spectacular this time of year. We are excited about this upcoming exhibition showcasing new works from six celebrated artists all inspired by Mountains and their beauty. Michelle will be releasing two new limited edition prints featuring the beautiful mountainous landscape of the St Arnaud Range in the Nelson Lakes National Park as part of this exciting exhibition. The other artists is this exhibition are Nic Tucker, Brent Forbes, Nick Duval-Smith, Paula Coulthard, and Tracy Watson. 'Mountain' will feature print, painting and textiles. All are welcome to join us for the opening at the Red Gallery on the 29th of July at 5-6.30pm.
The walk begun with a run, well actually more like a jog, in boots. I dropped everyone at the start of the Waston Creek Route then drove back to the end of the Jameson Ridge Track, parked and jogged back. After quite some time I have completed 'Endless Evening at Lake Alexandrina'. Having visited the lake many times, this long calm evening pictured in the painting has been the most memorable. I arrived late on a balmy autumn afternoon having never visited before, and it was simply stunning, not a breath of wind with the last golden leaves grasping onto the tree branches. Time seemed eternal as the sun slowly sank behind the hills. More visits over the years...
