Farewell Paratītahi Tarns, a 200mm circle painting by Michelle Bellamy on 12mm birch ply, with exposed ply edges. The tarns, between Mount McRae and Peanter Peak, are approximately 4 km southeast of Lake Rotoiti. The tarns are found in the Saint Arnaud Range, Nelson Lakes, New Zealand.
After many seemingly endless weeks painting in the studio and in the middle of the school holidays before the first winter snow, the perfect weather window approached.
