Mt Robert Ridge

April 12, 2022

Mt Robert Ridge
With balmy weather and no wind, a quick morning trip along the Robert Ridge to Rotomaninitua/Lake Angelus was in order. The sun rose as I came out of the bush-line and I was rewarded with spectacular views all the way along the ridge as the valley cloud burnt off.
The ridge is very accessible walk south-west to Lake Angelus, at Lake Rotoiti in the Nelson Lakes National Park, it consists of diverse scenery and panoramic views. Although in bad weather, clagg, wind or snow, it is less rewarding and you need to be well prepared for some unpleasantness and challenging conditions.
