New Kahurangi National Park painting

Getting a little sideways with this one. Early stages, layering up the tones in the tussock, each blade of tussock is gone over multiple times to bring it forward from the shadows and retain colour saturation. Enjoying the golden colour palette and soft curves of this composition.
This painting is located in the Kahurangi National Park in the northwest of the South Island of New Zealand is the second largest National Park in NZ.
