Mole Tops, Nelson Lakes National Park - New Painting
This is a new painting inspired by a three day/two night trip in summer with the kids to the Mole Tops in the Nelson Lakes National Park via Watson Creek and out the Jameson Ridge Track.
Although pictured here at a very early stage, I am excited with the layout and progress of this new painting. With a palette of golds, greens and beautiful blue shadows complemented with a soft evening sky this scene is developing very well. I am also going to enjoy working in intricate detail on the mountain fauna, as there is quite a bit of variety here.
